TODD BUCHANAN

In my pursuit of great pictures I have been held at gun point in Iraq, rappelled out of helicopters, worked on an Amish farm, trekked across the arctic for National Geographic, waded through oil tanker spills and shot off an aircraft carrier to make sure I got the best images possible for my clients.

During that time, I have been fortunate enough to be part of 2 Pulitzer Prize winning teams and traveled the world for my clients, but my mission is still to produce great images every day. A wise professor in college taught me that "You are only as good as your last frame (photo)". Awards are great, but I take to heart that we must always strive to excel both personally and professionally and keep producing great work and use the latest technology to get your images to the largest audience.

My career began at Western Kentucky University where I majored in Photojournalism, won College Photographer of the Year (NPPA), did five internships, including at National Geographic, while I was in college. I then spent 12 years working in newspapers from the Orange County Register, Louisville Courier-Journal and the Philadelphia Inquirer covering everything from the Olympics in Los Angeles and Seoul to the Gulf War and Presidential campaigns. During that time, I was fortunate enough to be part of Pulitzer Prize winning teams for coverage of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and the Carrollton KY bus crash that took 27 children's lives. At newspapers, I honed my journalistic and visual sense that I apply to the work I do to this day.

I make sure that obstacles are over come, deadlines are met, detailed captions provided and digital solutions are in place to make those deadlines. Those skills are only exceeded by my commitment to creating great photos. Now my work focuses on capturing the best possible images from my client's meetings, events, annual reports, publications and using my team's experience and technical expertise to create web-based solutions for sharing images on tight deadlines. Digital Video has also come to the forefront as we produce multimedia packages that can be used in a variety of social media settings and help drive viewers to your website and your company.

I want to make sure that you get the images that reflect all the hardwork you put into your meeting, event or show. I would like to hear more about your needs and talk to you about how I can help create great photos that create the right image for your business.
